About the Joliet Jets YMCA Swim Team
The Joliet Jets YMCA Swim Team is a year-round program that offers instruction and training to all swimmers from ages six to eighteen, beginners to elite.  We are both a YMCA and USA Swimming club, which means our swimmers get the opportunity to compete in a wide variety of meets:  As a YMCA program, we compete in fun, low-key dual meets as well as YMCA District, State, and National Championships; as a USA Swimming club registered under Illinois Swimming, Inc. (ISI), we compete in larger invitational meets in addition to Illinois Swimming State Championships and USA Swimming National Championships and Olympic Trials.  The Jets Y Swim Team supports the YMCA mission of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities, and our coaches strive not only to build strong swimmers, but Respectful, Responsible, Caring, and Honest individuals.

Lost and Found
If we find practice gear left behind after practice (such as caps, goggles, fins, water bottles, etc.) we usually store them in the team equipment cage on the pool deck; other miscellaneous items (such as suits, towels, etc.) will be placed in the team cabinet in the Smith Family YMCA lobby.  Our lost and found bin is always overflowing by the end of the season, so don't assume anything is gone for good!  If you ever lose an item, please check with your coach...or better yet, check with Coach Dave since he is usually the one to end up with stuff!

Locker Room Supervision
Parents are advised to monitor their own children in the locker rooms before and after practice.  This is the one place in the building where kids are not supervised by a coach or other YMCA staff member.  Thank you!

YMCA Membership Cards and Photos
Upon registering as a YMCA member, you should receive your membership card in the mail.  New members need to stop by the front desk to get their picture taken for the computer database.  Each time you visit the Y, you need to bring your card to be swiped at the front desk.  If you ever lose your card, you must purchase a replacement at the front desk.
