Help Wanted
Officials:  We’re looking to train more officials to work at swim meets.  This is a great way to get involved and learn more about the sport your kid loves!  If interested, please contact Coach Dave.  If we get enough parents interested, we can host a clinic and get you trained at our own YMCA.  Consider it!

Hospitality Appliances:  If you have any new/used cooking appliances in working condition that you are planning on getting rid of, our hospitality chairs would be happy to accept them.  They are looking for items such as Electric Skillets, Electric Griddles, Crock Pots/Slow Cookers or Chafing Dishes.  If you have an item you wish to donate, please contact Cyndi Pennington at 815-439-6726.

Team Photographers:  Do you have a digital camera?  Do you bring it to meets and take pictures of our team having fun and swimming fast?  Perfect!!  That’s all we need you to do.  Well, that and then send those pictures to Coach Dave after each swim meet or special event!  That way, Dave can share those pictures on the website and we can put together a nice slideshow for the kids at our team banquets.  Take those fun pictures and send them in!

About the Joliet Community Swim Association (JCSA)
The JCSA:

• Participates as a partner with the YMCA in the development of the individual and in the promotion of the YMCA Mission.

• Assures that parents and swimmers are supportive of the YMCA, its staff, administration, and swim team philosophy, and assures that the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility are kept in the forefront.

• Fundraises to finance quality swimming in the Joliet area.

• Pays coaches’ expense reimbursement for meets.

• Provides trained meet officials.

• Provides swimmer recognition programs in coordination with the Head Coach.

• Provides lay representatives to District, State, and National committees.

• Provides volunteers to aid the YMCA staff when necessary.

• Assures a positive partnership between the YMCA and the JCSA.

• Provides the Head Coach with support in getting meet results into newspapers and recruiting swimmers.

• Approves and adheres to the annual YMCA swim team budget and contract.

• Assists YMCA administration in matters of personnel administration (hiring, firing, salary) prior to a decision being made by the YMCA.
